THE SEARCH HAS GOT ME HOOKED


I have FOUND a maxi-dress that flatters me! YAY!!!Summer has come to Vancouver....actually not quite yet...cause there is barely any sunshine....and ONLY the annoying mugginess. But HEY, on an optimistic note it is great for strutin them maxi-dresses.

I went shopping the other day and was awe-struck by the summer left-over sales!! Maybe the lack of sun does do some good???? But holy smokes!! Every store had every size (well at least my size....) in every colour, ON SALE!!!
you know.....I have tried maxi-dresses here and there but zero luck. I find the whole process like finding a pair of jeans (incredibly difficult and giving up is not an option). I didn't have a vision on what kind of maxi-dress I wanted, but once I tried this on I was HOOKED.

Here I am wearing a black slip from hanky panky but I can change up the outfit by buttoning down and wearing different coloured bandeau's!!

the LOCK to a girl's heart!

on the note of cleaning and making things look new, I have another great tip for you all!
this may be a bit more handy then the previous post. If you own a Louis Vuitton BAG that has theiR signature LOCK, you would know that the brass starts to tarnish....TARNISH PRETTY BAD! and it looks super UGGOOO!!
I took a before and after picture so that it is more convincing then my last post (I'm learning everyday!) so here is my lock from my speedy.....it is approx. 3 years old....and I take pretty good care of my bags....but as you can see, it looks pretty bad.

WHAT IS THE SECRET?


TOOTHPASTE AND A BIT OF WATER!


take a cotton pad or a paper towel, wet it and add a bit of tooth paste so it bubbles.
Then wipe away!

Oh, REVLON......YOU DISAPPOINT ME!!

So I was waiting at london drugs for my dear mother to finish shopping, when I came across this super cute nail color from Revlon! I know this color is a season back or so...first launched by YSL.....but I have been looking for a grey nail polish that isn't gonna cost me $30......and well ladies, this nail polish was on sale for $2.99!!!!! K, enough said...SO I got home and I tried it...I was SUPER amazed at how nicely it went on...bold color, dried quick (as the label said)



and I was super satisfied...until 2 days later.....IT started CHIPPING! IT CHIPS LIKE MAD!! I practically hafta re-apply a coat everynight! that's pretty ridiculous ya?
WELL LESSON LEARNED....dun be suckered into cheap pretty things......

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!
but on a happier note, in the midst of the "FINALS" blues from school, I was able to use MY STUDENT DISCOUNT at CLUB MONACO today!!! boo on the nails but yay on the shirt!
