i have to say i have a strange love for victoria beckham's fall collection...there was such an amazing use of color, strong statements in splashes and i admire the statement the black swim caps made to the strength of the pieces...there were details that ran through the whole collection besides the amazing shapes and colors, thick zippers, bangin accessories and beautiful fabric...but who would expect anything less from posh herself...bang on spice girl, this is the spice i like

there were great expectations for the fall marchesa collection...and that was just what keren craig and georgina chapman used as an inspiration for this season, the beautiful romantic adorned antiques from the 19th century novel by charles dickens...the detailing by marchesa is unmatched, the draping and the hand sowing are out of this world, the collection is edgy especially with the inclusion of python leggins... it was detailed yet deconstructed and fanciful... i wanted to include ever piece in this post and i strained to edit, the bold rose colors are so on trend and undoubtedly will end up on the body of a beauty come oscars... even though those were the most stand out dresses i couldn't help but day dream about he tints of purple and the bold black and whites... i could write about this collection for years to come, marchesa is doing work...bang on

take a ride in my beautiful balloon

phillip lim took this season and super sized it.... the ready to wear 3.1 phillip lim collection for fall was engulfed in oversized jackets, pants, shorts and dressed....it was a balloon ride i would be happy to get on...the shapes were fresh and the details were perfect gowns that looked silk organza trash bags cinched with perfect belts...how could you not want a huge mustard yellow wool coat with a tie top neckline? i do!!!!...and going overboard didn't stop at the sizes it went to the use of fabric and multicolored layers, bold fabric combinations made for new feels to old classics, two toned trousers and leather armed tailored jumpsuits rounded out this massive collection. with subtle details like a bit of fur on the belts or an entire sleeve of spikes an oversized collection stays cool new and dare i say...refined
