new place, new job, new look

I have been M.I.A for a good month now and it's cause I've been busy putting my life back in order!

I started my new job, sorta furnished my new apartment and FINALLY got a feel of Japanese fashion! You guys wouldn't BELIEVE how difficult it is, to go from one countries HAUT fashion to another's! You gotta scope out the scene and find what you feel most comfortable in!  After browsing thru many malls, department stores and boutiques I think I gotta an idea of what I'd like to strut down the streets of Japan.....I THINK......lol


FIRST I will start with.....the dots...polka dots that is! 


(so sorry the pictures SUCK, my camera is HORRIBLE, I'm trying to save to get a new one!!)















polka dot chiffon blouse with a pair of beige ankle-grazers! all Japanese brands of course! Accessories are geek glasses and a multi-colored scarf for a belt!


point: mix up the polka dot with stripes! As long as one pattern is an accessory, it gives the outfit the finishing touch!!!

SUMMER FESTIVALS!

In Japan, there are these festivals called "OMATSURI" a summer festival. Many girls wear Yukata's to this event.  a yukata is sorta like a kimono but for the summer. I recently bought one and I will be wearing it in the upcoming local festivals....I will post the whole outfit soon, but for a sneak peak...

stop making me blush =P

what is one make-up product that Japanese girls can't live without??.....ya you'd think it would be false lashes rite? BUT it's not...IT IS actually BLUSH! that is seriously what makes those Japanese girls get that innocent super cute kinda look! I swear....it's truly magic.

The blush colors that are sold in Japan are incredibly different compared to Vancouver. Working at a cosmetic store where I used to play around with all sorts of colors, I'd almost say the color "desire" from NARS comes close (true pink)............BUT not really........................ the blushes are like transparent pigments! though they look like solid pink colors, when you put them on it blends into the skin. The end result: it looks as if we produced that blushed look ourselves! Currently the best rated blush is this one from CANMAKE: approx 8 dollars canadian










 blend both the colors with a blush brush to get a more prismatic look!

blogging from JAPAN!

So it has been A LONG time since I last blogged, but there is a reason for that!
I have moved to JAPAN, and I am still in the middle of settling down!
but just for a quick update I wanted to share this beautiful place called "THE HOUSE OF JILL STUART"!!! and yes, we are talking about Jill Stuart the brand! Not only do they have the latest and cutest clothes but also shoes, accessories and most of all a CAFE! with limited edition cutlery for sale! Here is a very pixilated picture...but I promise to post better pictures soon! plus I got a Jill by Jill Stuart Bag that I am dying to wear and share! yup! it's like a marc by marc jacobs or see by chloe! too bad we don't got it in Vancouver...because ladies you would fall in love.....
