Have you wondered what sewing machine is the best one to buy? Which one will last the longest and will do the best job?To be honest I don't believe in bigger is better when it comes to sewing machines.........the most expensive one won't hold up the longest if it's a bad model or the higher priced one will do the better job!
My sewing machine is a "cheap" Brother! Under $200 and I love it! I have sewn with others before but my current one is my favorite one! And if it's not going to be discontinued, it will stay my favorite one!

Here is the trick with what sewing machine to buy: imagine you have the big bucks one and rely on it for your sewing business, then it happens, your machine breaks. Oh well, you think ,you'll just go to a local place that repairs sewing machines and then you'll get hit! Before $100-$200 they won't even look at it! Then, if they do, they might need to order special parts for let's say another $100 and then there is labor of $100-$150. All of a sudden your total might be several hundred dollars. Then the turnaround time.....not under 2 weeks! So you're out for two weeks! That means, if you have a sewing business you'll be dry for that long. Better hope you have a cheap one tucked away in case you need to continue sewing, like I do!
Wait, I only have cheap machines! You know why? Because I don't mess with repair services that might rip you off! I don't want to wait a long time to get my "baby" back, no! I want to sew and I want to do it NOW! Yes, that's right!
I have 2 cheap machines in my house! The same model, too! 'cause I love it so much, I bought two of the same ones! If one breaks, well it's out the door and my other "baby" will get brought out! Then, I am ordering the same one again right away!
You might wonder what brand serger I have??...............
