- finish the top as usual until you reach the step to sew front and back together
- lay your front (then back) onto your work table with right sides up and place a long ruler or lip edge ruler across
- draw a line with a fabric marker (washable) where you want the rows of elastic to be
- repeat with back side making sure you draw the lines at exactly the same position
- there is no set rule where to sew in the rows of elastic but recommended it to sew 2-3 rows close together and then sew wider spaced blocks of several inches
